Café Zimmerman 2 at the 2012 Adelaide Fringe
Saturday 25th February 2012
Following the previous sell-out Café Zimmerman, this concert recreates the atmosphere of coffee entrepreneur Gottfried Zimmermann's café in Leipzig in the 1700’s when concerts were sponsored by this owner of a network of coffee houses.
Telemann, Bach and others led the Collegium Musicum in performing a wide range of chamber music catered to an ever demanding public thirst for coffee and music! Hear concerti on period instruments, plus Bach’s famous Coffee Cantata performed by internationally acclaimed musicians in a heritage 'cabaret setting'.
